If any clarification or additional information is required, I'll be happy to provide.SA has been dealt a blow in their fast bowling department with the withdrawal of Lungi Ngidi and Lizaad Williams for the three match ODI series against the Netherlands. I would love to replay Okami without any major graphical issues. I had hoped that Vulkan was the fix here, but that's not the case.Īgain, any help or input would be greatly appreciated. It was like this Ishiiruka version was missing a vital overlay effect that enabled the brush screen and cursed zones, but also introduced the blurry, moving outline issue.įurther testing with recent, official versions of Dolphin with the new Vulkan backend (the blurry screenshots were taken in Dolphin 5.0-1241) resulted in the blurry image nonsense coming back. Irritated, I ran into the Cursed Zone to see if the inverted colors effect worked, and to my disappointment, I also got a black screen (Image 6). This is visible in image 5, compare to image 3, where the brush screen works.Ĭonfused, I tried tweaking every graphical setting available to me while the game was running, and nothing resolved the problem. This made brush moves in combat nearly impossible, and even trying to draw circles for Bloom was difficult. Everything was pitch back, and while I could still draw, I had to guess as to what I was drawing on. That is, until I opened the brush screen. It looked beautiful, and I happily resumed my adventures. I used Ishiiruka version "822 (7b4d0ba)." Ammy's white coat didn't shine as bright, but I didn't care.

I decided to try Ishiiruka- a custom, unofficial version of Dolphin- and to my surprise, the recently added Vulkan backend was free of the blurriness. When I attempted this, it either did nothing, or introduced a ton of garbage on the screen.įrustrated, I tried different versions of Dolphin, but regardless of what graphical backend I used (Direct X 11, 12, or OpenGL), the blurriness remained. The poster claims that changing EFB to Texture in game stops the ghost image, but doesn't resolve the issue.
I tried using that version, and the blurriness was still present. The issue remained unsolved for nearly three years, and then was suddenly marked as resolved with version 4.0-5561. The images they posted are no longer on the Dolphin wiki, but their descriptions match my issues exactly. My settings are present in the link below.Īfter some basic Google searches, I found that someone else had a similar issue almost five years ago. I run the game with 8X MSAA, 16X Anisotropic filtering, at an internal resolution of 1080p. Outside of this blurry double image, it's a perfect emulation of Okami. The game runs fine, with no frame rate drops on my system or notable issues.
(Viewing the larger versions of the images will provide the best clarity.)

This creates a double image for almost everything in the game, and it's frustrating having the game rendered at 1080p and looking worse than it did on the Wii. I recently got Okami working on Dolphin, and much to my confusion, the game looks absurdly blurry, with all black outlines moving in a circular motion. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I need someone's help, be it a second opinion or guidance with filing a bug report. Past searches have not helped, even though this issue has supposedly been resolved.Īfter several hours of trying to fix this myself, consulting archived Dolphin bug fixes, and trying many, many different versions of the Dolphin emulator, I've come up with nothing. Summary- Okami is a blurry mess, and while I found a way around it, it involves a completely broken brush screen.
